Kasey and Jake’s story began at Dell Technologies, where they worked together and quickly became friends. Within their friend group, Jake was affectionately known as “Jake Nelson,” and Kasey was “Tall Kasey.” One night, Jake jokingly asked, “Why can’t I just be Jake and you be Kasey?” — a simple moment that made everyone laugh, and in hindsight, hinted that something special was beginning to unfold. Their friendship naturally turned into something more. At a Fourth of July party, Kasey realized she didn’t want to leave Jake’s side — they spent the whole night laughing together, and by the end, it was clear their connection was different. Their first official date soon followed at a Vega Bonds concert, and from that point on, they were inseparable. Over the past six years, Kasey and Jake have built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. They’ve shared beach trips with both of their families, countless concerts and weddings, and endless date nights discovering new restaurants — both self-proclaimed foodies. During COVID, they welcomed their goldendoodle, Lady, into their lives, who quickly became their beloved “daughter” and constant companion. Jake’s proposal was one for the books. What Kasey thought was just rooftop drinks before dinner turned into a breathtaking surprise. As she climbed the stairs, she found rose petals, music, and Jake waiting with flowers. The surprises didn’t stop there — Jake had planned a celebration with both of their families, Kasey’s best friend, and all their friends afterward. It was a night they’ll never forget. Together, Kasey and Jake share a driven, “work hard, play hard” spirit. They’re both type A, organized, and motivated, yet they never forget to laugh, explore, and enjoy life’s little moments. They bring out the best in each other and can’t wait for the next chapter — marriage, starting a family, and continuing their beautiful journey with Lady by their side.
